"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
I don't usually feature books whose release date is so far away, but OMG you guys!! The Witch Hunter sounds so amazing! They say it's a mix between Game of Thrones and Graceling, right? And I'm already loving it! And there's even more, there are pirates, goblins, healers, ghosts and of course witches! Can somebody give me a copy of this one like right now?
The Witch Hunter by Virginia Boecker
Expected publication: June 2nd 2015 by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers
Goodreads | Book Depository | Amazon
The magic and suspense of Graceling meet the political intrigue and unrest of Game of Thrones in this riveting fantasy debut.
Elizabeth Grey is one of the king's best witch hunters, devoted to rooting out witchcraft and doling out justice. When she's accused of being a witch herself, Elizabeth is arrested and sentenced to die at the stake. Salvation comes from a man she thought was her enemy. Nicholas Perevil, the most powerful wizard in the kingdom, offers her a deal: he will save her from execution if she can break the deadly curse that's been laid upon him.
As she's thrust into the world of witches, ghosts, pirates, and all-too-handsome healers, Elizabeth is forced to redefine her ideas of right and wrong, and of love and hate.

Didn't really pay much attention to it when I first saw it a few weeks ago, so had no clue what it was about, haha. Sounds so good though! Witches, ghosts, pirates, healers, I mean, what's left? EVERYTHING YOU WANT in there.
ReplyDeleteI've been seeing this one around the blogs lately, and I'm definitely curious. I will have to wait and hear what early reviewers have to say, I think. But I hope you enjoy it!!!
ReplyDeleteThis week my WoW is Breaking the Rules!

YES! I really am interested in this one too! Like Kirsty said, I wasn't paying any attention to it, but then a few weeks ago I saw it somewhere (maybe Goodreads? I don't recall) and it caught my attention. Like, the magical stuff sounds cool, but all the extra stuff- the political stuff, trying to figure out morality, yes, that has me needing this book for sure! Great pick!
ReplyDeleteOMG that book sounds amazing! Two of my favorite things together! Thanks for sharing! This one goes on my WoW for sure!
