Shocking secrets.
Evie has fully come into her powers as the Tarot Empress, and Jack was there to see it all. She now knows that the teens who’ve been reincarnated as the Tarot are in the throes of an epic battle. It’s kill or be killed, and the future of mankind hangs in the balance.

Unexpected allies.
With threats lurking around every corner, Evie is forced to trust her newfound alliance. Together they must fight not only other Arcana, but also Bagmen zombies, post-apocalyptic storms, and cannibals.

Gut-wrenching treachery.
When Evie meets Death, things get even more complicated. Though falling for Jack, she’s drawn to the dangerous Endless Knight as well. Somehow the Empress and Death share a history, one that Evie can’t remember—but Death can’t forget…

In this seductive follow-up to Poison Princess, #1 New York Times bestselling author Kresley Cole takes us deeper into the dark world of the Arcana Chronicles.

Don't read any further if you want to avoid spoilers for Poison Princess or Endless Knight!

Whoa! What did I just read? I think my head is still spinning and trying to comprehend what happened in there. Am I mad? Am I happy? Am I confused? Well, I have no idea! But either way, I'll try to explain it to you.

Endless Knight starts just where Poison Princess left off. We finally get to know what happens after that cruel cliffhanger (Kresley Cole, I'm pointing at you!). Evie has just killed the Alchemist, and they have to decide what are they going to do next right away, because new dangers are lurking from every corner. There are 17 Arcana left who may want to kill them (Evie, Selena, Matthew, Finn & the dead Alchemist excluded), there are awful cannibals & Bagmans who are getting stronger. Will Evie accept the fact that she has to kill every other Arcana in order to survive, or will she fight it?

From the first page, Endless Knight is packed with action. It practically screams, I AM A BOOK OF ACTION! There are awesome battles happening one after the other. There are unexpected twists happening with every page you turn. Evie is more that aware of her powers and she's not afraid to use them. Endless Knight is in many ways different from other sequels. As sequels mostly tend to be calmer, be the bridge between the first and third book, this one is anything but calm. Yes, it did set a great foundation for the book three, but I'm right to say this: I've never read a second book so good.

Do you all remember our dear ol' Jack? Yes, yes? Well romance takes an interesting direction in this book. Now, why do I say interesting? We get the love-triangle... I'm not a fan of love-triangles, and mostly I avoid reading books that feature them, but I didn't mind it in this one actually. I was a big fan of Jack in the first book. I really liked him. He's still the same here, moody guy most of the time, but quite likable. But then came Death. I fell in LOVE with him. My heart ached for him and I cheered for him. I always suspected he must have had some bigger role in all this then just wanting to kill Evie and whispering in her ear. The connection between them felt so much more real, so much more genuine. I really, really, REALLY hope Kresley Cole won't fuck it up.

I have only mentioned here a few things that made me love Endless Knight so much, but there is SO MUCH MORE to it than just the things I mentioned. Trust me, you really don't want to miss this series! From the amazingly unique theme (Tarot Cards killing each other, hello?) to the horrible cliffhangers I secretly love (did you really have to do it again, Cole?!?), The Arcana Chronicles is an amazing series and you should read it!
