I'll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios
Expected publication: February 3rd 2015 by Henry Holt and Co. (BYR)
Goodreads | Book Depository | Amazon
If seventeen-year-old Skylar Evans were a typical Creek View girl, her future would involve a double-wide trailer, a baby on her hip, and the graveyard shift at Taco Bell. But after graduation, the only thing standing between straightedge Skylar and art school are three minimum-wage months of summer. Skylar can taste the freedom—that is, until her mother loses her job and everything starts coming apart. Torn between her dreams and the people she loves, Skylar realizes everything she’s ever worked for is on the line.
Nineteen-year-old Josh Mitchell had a different ticket out of Creek View: the Marines. But after his leg is blown off in Afghanistan, he returns home, a shell of the cocksure boy he used to be. What brings Skylar and Josh together is working at the Paradise—a quirky motel off California’s dusty Highway 99. Despite their differences, their shared isolation turns into an unexpected friendship and soon, something deeper.

I am actually kind of glad for the slow week! Better for my TBR and my bank account ;) I am guessing it'll be quite slow until after the new year now. It's good in some ways, but kind of boring, bookishly speaking!
ReplyDeleteThis does sounds like a cute one! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteMy WoW is here.

I'm not sure but I think I saw this one on Edelweiss. It sounds really interesting and different from the last book she released. Adding it to my TBR right now! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, it does! Thanks for stopping by Kim.
ReplyDeleteReally? I must have missed it on Edelweiss then. And yeah, it really does sound a lot different from Exquisite Captive, but I'm really excited to read it.
ReplyDeleteYeah, definitely. Finally my TBR pile can catch a little breath lol
ReplyDeleteThis book is AMAZING. Yes, cute, but there are serious issues, and feels, and it is just one of the best books ever. LOVE. Such a great choice, you are going to love it!
ReplyDeleteOh, you've read it? Now, I really can't wait to get my hands on it!
