"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
My pick this week is Scarlet (Lunar Chronicles, #2) by Marissa Meyer. I've recently read Cinder, the first book, and I loved it! Look out for my review later today. I can't wait for Scarlet to come out. I see the main focus in the book will be on Scarlet, but I hope there will be enough Cinder elements to satisfy me. *fingers crossed*
Expected Publication: February 5th 2013
From Goodreads:
Cinder returns in the second thrilling installment of the New York Times-bestselling Lunar Chronicles. She’s trying to break out of prison—even though if she succeeds, she’ll be the Commonwealth’s most wanted fugitive.
Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit’s grandmother is missing. It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn’t know about her grandmother and the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother’s whereabouts, she has no choice but to trust him, though he clearly has a few dark secrets of his own.
As Scarlet and Wolf work to unravel one mystery, they find another when they cross paths with Cinder. Together, they must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen who will do anything to make Prince Kai her husband, her king, her prisoner.
What's your pick for this week? Leave me a link, and I'll be sure to stop by and check it out!

Yeah, it was great. I was actually surprised by how much I loved the book!
DeleteI could tell this was a Cinder book just by the cover. I have it on the shelf, but haven't had time to read it. This has motivated me to get to it. Nice choice!
ReplyDeleteI still need to read Cinder, but I think both of these sound incredible. Both are definitely on my TBR list. Thanks for sharing.
