Book Description:
When you're lost sometimes the only place you can go is home.
Broken over the death of her fiancé, Molly leaves law school to return to her childhood home in North Carolina. Expecting to lay low until she can figure out what else to do with her life, Molly finds herself in the arms of her high school sweetheart Ben, the boy who represents everything from the past she tried to leave behind.
Looking for an escape, what she finds is a way back to the girl she almost forgot existed and a future she never dreamed possible.
My Review:
This is such a cute story! Even though, there is death involved, yes, I do think this was a very cute story.
After her fiancés death, Molly decides to quit law school in Boston and return to her hometown, Clayton Falls. She feels like she needs to get away form everything and wants safety that only her friends and a small town can offer her. The story develops very fast, and we soon find out about Ben, her high school sweetheart.
There is a lot of sexual tension and some unfinished bussines between the two, and quicky they get into physical relationship. Molly feels like she's not ready for a real relationship yet and doesn't want to admit that she still feels someting for Ben.
Ben is a sweetheart. He's amazingly good looking and he's a musician! He never got over Molly, and when she came back, he was determinated to win her back.
Also, there was Gavin, a cop who took interest in Molly. I felt really sad for him because Molly wasn't interested in him while he was charming and funny. I'm really excited for the second book Veer, where he is the main character.
Overall, this was a very sweet new adult book. I've started to read a lot of these in the last few weeks. If you're looking for a quick, sweet read, I'd definitely recommend you Derailed.
