Book Description:
I was never supposed to be a rock star. I had my life all planned out for me. Play football in college. Go to the NFL. Marry my high school sweetheart and live happily ever after.

I broke both our hearts that day when I told her I was leaving. I was young. I made the right decision for me, but the wrong decision for us. I’ve poured my soul into my music, but I’ve never forgotten her. Her smell, her smile.

And now I’m going back.

After ten years.

I hope I can explain that after all this time.

I still want her to be my forever girl.

My Review:

I started reading this book because I was in mood for some New Adult contemporary romance. You can imagine my surprise when I figured out this is not New Adult book, but Adult. Yes, it has a beautiful cover and it looks nothing like covers for Adult books do, but it is an Adult book. However, this doesn't change anything, because I really, really enjoyed Forever My Girl and I'm glad I picked this one.

Liam needed a change and decided to become a musician. He left everything behind, his girlfriend, his friends and his hometown. 10 years after when he finds out that his best friend from highschool died, he goes back to Beaumont for funeral. What he dreads is seeing his ex-girlfriend Josie because he still loves her. But something unexpected happens. He finds out he has a son. While Josie moved on, she still has feelings for Liam deep inside her and his return brings them back.

I loved this story. It is beautiful and captivating. I read it in one day. There just isn't a good moment to stop reading. While reading, I cried, I laughed and I cheered for Liam and Josie.

They are both amazing characters. Liam is a famous musician, but when he finds out he has a son, he decides to fight for what he wants and that is a family. He is sweet and a true gentleman. He loved Noah, his son, from the moment he saw him and he'd do anything for him. You can't help yourself but love him, and forgive him for all mistakes he made in past.

Josie is fragile. She's scared to let Liam come back into her and Noah's lives. She's scared to give him a second chance because she fears that he is going to leave again and that her son will be heartbroken.

The romance between Liam and Josie is something that is rarely seen. Their love is so deep, that kind of forever love. I loved how they slowly found way back to each other and nothing felt rushed. Everything was just how it was supposed to be, perfect.

I loved how Heidi fit some flashbacks from when they were younger into the story. It was nice to see how their relationship was before Liam left.

To sum it up, I loved this story and would recommend everyone who likes romance books to read it. I can't wait to read the next book in Beaumont series and hope I'll like it as much as I liked this one!

    1. Yes, you don't get this is an Adult book from the blurb, and most people have on their shelves as NA, but it's still a great read.

    1. Yes, same here, and I think they're around 28-29 years, even though the exact years are never mentioned.
