From Goodreads:
An intense look at the rules of high school attraction -- and the price that's paid for them.

It happens every year. A list is posted, and one girl from each grade is chosen as the prettiest, and another is chosen as the ugliest. Nobody knows who makes the list. It almost doesn't matter. The damage is done the minute it goes up.

This is the story of eight girls, freshman to senior, "pretty" and "ugly." And it's also the story of how we see ourselves, and how other people see us, and the tangled connection of the two.

My Review:
In genereal, I did like this book, but there were some things that were done wrong.
But let me tell you about the book first. It is the Homecoming week, and every year on Monday The List is being made. Eight girls make it on the list, the "pretty" and "ugly" girl from each grade. Throught the week, we watch how does The List affect every single one of them, as the book is written in 8(!) different POV's. Every girl gets 5-6 chapters.
What I liked in this book is the theme. I like that Siobhan recognized how big of a problem is being labeld in Highschool and wrote a book about it. We can see how all the girls keep up with The List and it's consequences, and it's not easy for either of them, "pretty" or "ugly". I loved that there were covered a lot of Teen problems, like anorexia, bullying, frind troubles, family troubles, money troubles, boy troubles, being an outsider...
What I didn't like is that the book was written from eight different POV's. It was a little bit hard to keep up with the names. I always had to go back to The List to see who was who. And with soo many POV's I feel like we didn't really get the chance to fully get to know the girls. We know some things about them, but there is just so much more we should know, but is left out. Also the ending is pretty open. We know how does the prom end, but we don't actually know what happens with any of the girls.

That been said, I do recommand to read this book, as it is unique and a good read, but don't have to high expectations.
